CONTROVERSY OVER DAVIDO’S NEW SONG ‘GOBE’

The song ‘Gobe’ has been released for barely 24hours, but it’s managed to kick up quite a storm already.
Apparently, an upcoming artiste by the name of Password released the same song about a year ago; but the song couldn’t garner much attention. Davido re-worked the song
There’s nothing new about buying imntellectual property. What is new though, is that the song had previously been released. Whether Davido was aware of this before he bought the song is unclear. There doesn’t seem to be any animosity between the parties though.

Davido tweeted this afternoon; Big ups 2 @iamshizzi and @iam_password for such a great combination of work for GOBE! More stuff 2 come HKN!
Password was also very co-operative as he also tweeted in support; The song Gobe was officially replaced by @iam_davido hu co-wrote on d new version and I @iam-password is very happy and satisfied.
HKN in-house producer Shizzy, then said; Follow my gud friend @iam_password and thanx to him and d inspiration we all put into gobe! Cc”@iam_Davido.

Shocking Story: Movie Producer fights Nollywood Actress Nita Jay on set

Normally we do not report things like this, but the reason behind the fight was too funny that we decided to give you an inside account of what happened between them.

According to the information Diamond Celebrities gathered,  the Movie Stars were hungry at about 2pm today, and there was no food for them on sat.

The producer Lion Base as he was called did not want to provide food for the people.

So Anita decided she will not continue shooting till the producer provides food for the people. But instead of food, they both entered into fight.

The guy pulled his shirt and Anita was about pulling hers before people held her back and stopped the fight.

Few people we spoke to, said “the Producer always takes advantage of being a producer to mess upcoming artistes up, and that he "Lion Base' fights a lots”

Another source said, “The producer fought a man named Mike on his last production that featured Chika Ike, Yul Edochie, Nita Jay and others. And in another of his production, we learnt he beat up a little girl.

The question now is, why fighting on Location; has movie set become a Battlefield?

Hi 5 with Don Saint

What is the reason behind your stage name?

Muma Gee : The reason behind my stage Name Muma Gee is to create an identity as a name different from the normal name family members call me. And it is just a way of keeping it professional for friends and fans. And Muma is a tribal way to say 'do good' in Ekpeye tribe of Rivers state in Nigeria, while Gee is from my English name Gift.

What is music to you?

Muma Gee: Music to me is a way of life that afford the musicians the opportunity to express what it felt inside to an audience that appreciates it and sees the musician from a point of view of a unique personality as a star.

Apart from music what else do you do?

Muma Gee: Apart from music I do fashion and design, an Administrator to the managing Director, Geeklips Arts Academy and Geeklips Entertainment.

What is it that people don't really know about you?

Muma Gee: People really don't know the part of me because they see us stars as super humans and assume we can't indulge in Domestic activities. As a woman I am highly domesticated.

What will you do with 5 million dollars, if you win it in a lotto?

Muma Gee: 5 million Dollars will just be good enough for me to use in my charity work as millions of youths on the streets will have their lives changed and up graded. And I would have left over for me and my family to be comfortable.

TUPAC’s MOTHER PLEDGES TO RELEASE HIS ENTIRE BODY OF WORK

Tupac Shakur’s life was tragically cut short in 1996, but the prolific rap icon has continued to live on through strategically released posthumous material. There has been six solo LPs released since Pac’s death, but it appears that there is more music in the stash and the slain MC’s mom plans to put it all out.
“I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac’s entire body of work is made available for his fans,” Afeni Shakur said in a statement issued to Billboard‘s website yesterday. “My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty.”
Already, as it stands, Tupac’s posthumous albums make up the majority of his discography. Before he was murdered, Pac dropped four solo albums including the double album All Eyez on Me. His final studio LP The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory was completed prior to his death, but released almost two months after he had passed away on September 13, 1996.
Pac’s estate will now be controlled by Jampol Artist Management, a company which also holds the estates of Otis Redding and reggae legend Peter Tosh. The management company will handle licensing, apparel and just about anything else relating to Pac’s music, name and likeness. Pac’s mother will, of course, oversee things, working alongside Tom Whalley, who signed the rapper to his first record deal.

PAUL PLAY DAIRO sues MTN and ULTIMA LTD 500 Million Naira For infringement on his intellectual property

Paul play Dairo has gone to court for redress over the unlawful use of hit song “angel of my life” on project fame. Paul was faraway in the US last year when the song was used without proper licensing. Reliable source indicated that his intellectual property manager, Mr. Ayo Rotimi was not even aware of the situation. We gathered that calls were made to the two organisations and their responses were cold and uncooperative.
Paul Plays management contacted festus Keyamo chambers to serve both organisations the suit. It is very sad to notice that even international companies in the calibre of MTN who have benefited enormously in the Nigerian economy is found wanting in unlawful exploitation of intellectual property. This is inappropriate and should be addressed.

Deaths in Nollywood: IF they are not in Nollywood They would have died all the same, Emeka Duru tells

Nollywood is in sorrow as they loss one of their Grade ‘A’ Actor Justice Esiri yesterday.

Because of so many deaths in Nollywood in recent time, people are asking questions of what is happening in Nollywood?  We decided to past the question to Nollywood Stars today.

This is what Nollywood Actor Emeka Duru told Diamond Celebrities:

I just think that it’s not only a Nollywood thing it’s all over. Did u know how many people that died yesterday? am sure they are many, but the fact still remain that because we are in the lime light everybody now see it as if there is something wrong with Nollywood. Death is a inevitable, it will come when it will come.

We really have to let the world know that Nollywood is just a fraction of the world, and that God loves Nollywood people. What is happening is what is happening around the world, most of these people that died are all old people, and none of them is less than 70yrs.  If they are not in Nollywood they would have died all the same and we will not hear about it.

‘How TB Joshua Delivered Me From My Mental Illness’.- Hanks Anuku.

Nollywood Actor, Hanks Anuku, has revealed how drugs and alcohol ruined his career and caused him to be mentally ill for some time.

The actor was Special Adviser on Tourism and Entertainment to Emmanuel Uduaghan, who is the Governor of Delta State, Nigeria. Anuku disclosed that his mental problems forced him out of the Government House in Asaba. We present Hanks Anuku in his own words.

‘Yes, I got my healing through TB Joshua. It is our lord’s doing. I was having issues with my mentality for over seven years. You would have noticed that I have not been that frequent in Movies for a long time. Even when I was a Special Assistant to our dear Governor, I was not in a good state of mind and this affected my work in the Government House, before I was advised to seek for a solution in Ghana. I spent so much money visiting hospitals, orthodox and unorthodox doctors without positive results. Until I was introduced to TB Joshua. I was only watching his TV program in Ghana and was healed. I put my faith into it just like the woman with the issue of blood and knew that I would be healed and I got my healing. I am now a mentally stable man. I have dropped the drinking and smoking habit. Glory be to God’. he said.

Exclusive : "Why they call me RAW", MR. Raw opens up on Hi5

MR. Raw talks about the meaning of his Name, his Life and Career, keeping it real on Hi 5 with Don Saint.

HI 5 with DON SAINT

Tell us the reason behind your Stage Name?

When I was much younger, I use to be very vulgar & blunt....which made my friends to start referring to me as someone that is too "raw" (verbally), then at a point when I and my friends picked interest in rap music, I decided to use the name "Dat NIG.G.A  RAW" meaning  Dat Nigerian Guy Anakpo Raw. It was easy for me to choose "RAW" cos my friends were already calling me that.

 What is music to you?

Music to me is FOOD for the SOUL. I call it an ORGANIZED NOISE that people can't do without regardless of the language.

Apart from music what else do you do?

I'll probably be working in an office or better still be a marketer for Alaba international  Market.  Lol!

What is it that people don't really know about you?

I am God fearing, I respect people young and old.

What will you do with 5 million dollars if you win it in Lotto?

I will SPEND IT (positively), I'll invest some part of the money and use better part of it to touch lives.

Thank you so much for talking to us.

I thank you too.

Exclusive: Honourable Tony Oneweek Muonagor reveals how he became Oneweek

Enjoy our New Brand “Hi 5 with Don Saint" Here you will get Exclusive Information about Celebrities, one on one with Don Saint.

So meet the Gyration Master Hon.Tony One Week, the first Entertainer in Nigeria's history to be elected into the Legislature. This is how it went down on….

Hi 5 with Don Saint

What's the story behind your name?

Long story! Way back in time when I was in secondary school, I was very stubborn and fought all day. Yeah. We read ONE WEEK ONE TROUBLE, a literature book by Anezi Okoro. One day, after a fight right in front of my literature teacher Mr Obijiofor; he knelt me down and shouted "Tony Muonagor or whatever they call you. Every time you are in one fight or another... One week, one trouble". Na so the name sticks ooo (That’s how it sticks).

My fellow students started calling me the name and the more I tried to fight to stop it, the more it stuck. Even when I left secondary school and proceeded higher, I still ran into people who called me "One week". I adopted the name and made it official through court processes in 1997. Today, my real names are Tony Oneweek Muonagor. It’s not a stage name. It’s the name on all my documents (passports, cheque books etc).

What is music to you?

Music is food for my soul. It’s a high point in creativity and gives me innermost joy that is incomparable to any other joy when I make it. I can listen to a track for a whole day if it inspires me. For example I have Majek Fashek's "I am not tired" on repeat for the past one week in my car. I don't play music in my house (no time off for tv). I only listen to music in my car.

Apart from music what else do you do ?

I started as a movie writer, then actor, standup comedian, Production manager, then Producer, artistic director, singer, director. I have been fully in entertainment till God enabled me to make history by becoming the very first entertainer in Nigeria's history to be elected into the legislature. Today, I’m the honorable member representing the good people of Idemili North in Anambra state house of assembly.

What is it that people don't really know about you?

Nothing. I have been in the public glare since 1998 when Jesus blessed me. I have no secret. If you google my name, you see. Of course the essence of this interview is to shed more light. For example, I don't remember granting any interview to say how I became ONEWEEK.

What will you do with 5 million dollars if you win lotto?

A lot! A whole lot! I can assure you that I will put smiles on too many faces. Waow!, God will be happy with me if He gives me 5 Million US Dollars for sure.

Thank you for your time Hon.

Thank you too.

Kennis Music releases Statement on Goldie's death

Nigerian Hiphop star Goldie Harvey died on Valentine day just few hours after returning from us where she attended the Grammy Awards. According to our source, Goldie complained of severe headache before she collapsed, findings reveals she actually died from Pneumonia,

Early this morning Kennis Music issued this Emotionally statement, here them:

Kennis Music has officially confirmed the shocking and untimely passage of Nigeria’s pop star, Goldie Harvey. A terse statement issued by the President of Kennis Music, Keke Ogungbe, midnight Thursday reads: “With a deep sense of loss, we announce the shocking death of our darling music star, Goldie Harvey. Goldie, 31, died on Thursday after she complained of a severe headache shortly after her arrival from the United States where she went to witness the Grammy Award. She was rushed from her Park View, Ikoyi, Lagos residence to her official hospital, Reddington, Victoria Island, Lagos, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival at exactly 7:30pm in the evening. We consider this period a gloomy moment for us and the entire Nigerian music industry in view of the circumstance in which she passed away; the abundance of talent she exhibited in her short but eventful music career and the various opportunities her trip to the United States of America would have availed her. She is survived by her father, step- mother, brothers and sisters. We deeply sympathise with her family and fans all over the world and very grateful to all and sundry, especially, the vibrant Nigerian media for their concern and prompt reportage. We shall keep everybody informed as events unfold as we are devastated by the sudden loss.” Meanwhile, the remains of Goldie who hails from Ekiti State has been deposited at the mortuary of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos. Goldie represented Nigeria at the Big Brother Star Game in 2012. Her latest effort, she described as three nawti singles from her forthcoming African Invasion album are “Skibo”. “Miliki” and” Got To Have It,” presently enjoying heavy rotations on radio and TV stations across the continent.

Burial arrangements will be announced by the family. May her soul rest in peace.

Adieu Goldie!!!

Whitney Houston's Brother Feels Extremely Guilty for Introducing his late sister to Drugs

Whitney Houston's brother Michael blames no one but himself for her death. In an interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter", he says he feels responsible for introducing his singer sister to drugs and regrets not taking action to save her while he still could.

With his mother Cissy by his side, he admits to Oprah Winfrey that he introduced Whitney to cocaine in the 1980s before she met Bobby Brown and married him. "I feel responsible for her. I always have," he says. "I just felt like I should have taken better care of her."

"It's painful," he utters. "I feel responsible for, that I let it go so far. Being together most of the time, and her following behind me … everything that you do together as you're growing up, and then when you get into drugs, you do that together too. And it just got out of hand."

When first giving the drugs to Whitney, Michael didn't realize it could lead to death. "You gotta understand at the time … the 80s … it was acceptable," he says. "It wasn't a bad word like it is now," to which Oprah replied, "Because we didn't have the bodies in the street."

When the host asks him, "So that's the demon you live with?" Michael who's a songwriter answers in full remorse, "Every day. Every day. It's something I got live with the rest of my life." He says he could never forgive himself as stating, "I'm living but I'm not alive."

Cissy remembers how she learned that Whitney nicknamed Nippy by the family had died on February 11, 2012. "My son called me and he was screaming, 'Mom, Mommy.’ Then, oh God. I said, 'What is wrong, what’s wrong?' " the mother recalls.

"He just said, 'Nippy. Nippy.' I said, 'What's wrong with Nippy?' … I was getting annoyed because he wasn't telling me anything. He said, 'Mommy.' I said, 'Is she dead?' And he said, 'Yeah, Mommy, she's dead.' And I don't remember too much else after that."

In her new book titled "Remembering Whitney: My Story of Love, Loss, and the Night the Music Stopped", Cissy slammed Bobby Brown for being a bad influence for her daughter. "It would have been easier for her to get sober and stay sober," she wrote. "Instead she was with someone who, like her, wanted to party."

Cissy didn't blame him for Whitney's death though. "Good mothers and good fathers and good families don't always have great children," she said on "Today" show. "It's all [the children's] responsibility when they get to a certain age to choose their way." She added, "She was taught. She knew her way."

"I know he [Brown] didn't help her. I don't blame him," the Houston matriarch went on. "Everybody is responsible for their own actions up to a point. She was raised, she knew better, and whatever took her to that position, I really don't know."
