Was Omoni Oboli trying to seduce Jonathan, critics ask

Is she trying to seduce the President? That was the question a moviemaker asked when the pictures from the movie premiere in Aso Rock last week became public.
President Goodluck Jonathan received Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, for a private screening of her movie, Being Mrs Elliot. The screening which took place at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, was graced by other dignitaries including Vice President Namadi Sambo, AY Makun, comedian, Lepacious Bose; Mahmood Ali-Balogun, and Chioma Ude, among others.

The event was just a normal run of the mill one, but Omoni’s dressing has earned her a lot of criticism. She was wore a blue sleeveless gown, which revealed a great part of her chest. Some even say she might not have been allowed into the hall if the first lady was present at the event.
Oboli, in her defence, said the pictures did not do the dress justice. “In retrospect, it boils down to that awkward moment when you are all dressed up for your event with your speech in hand, for your mind, you are bam. But when the pictures come out, they say something else. It happens to all of us once in a while. God know say no be so I plan am.”

  1. She has a motive of wearing dat dress cos she knew she was not going to dinner party. At least she could have worn an official wear.
