The Nigerian economy is in recession, figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics officially confirmed Wednesday.

The naira plunged to 418 against the dollar at the parallel market on Tuesday as scarcity of foreign exchange continued to weigh on the official interbank and black market.

Female inmate claims she was raped by male inmates with master key

An inmate, who has since been released, detailed her attack and said the men had a key to her cell.
A female inmate told police she was brutally gang-raped by three men who entered her jail cell in Kansas City, Mo., with a stolen master key early Friday, according to a local report.
