The Police on Friday arraigned a 40-year-old
man, Kabiru Damulak, in a Gudu Upper Area Court for allegedly breaking the
windscreen of his sister’s Range Rover Jeep.
Damulak, a resident of
No. 39, Gana Str., Maitama, Abuja, is charged with causing mischief, contrary
to Section 32 of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of N70,00 and a surety in like sum.

The Judge, Alhaji Umar
Kagarko said the surety must be reliable and resident within the court’s
jurisdiction.

The Prosecutor, Mr
Augustine Urom, had told the court that the defendant’s sister, Aishatu Damuluk
reported the case on Jan. 20 at Maitama Police station.
Urom said the defendant broke the windscreen of the car with registration number VG 436 KJA, with a bare hand and sustained injury in the process.
