Hundreds of President
Muhammadu Buhari’s supporters in Kano state, who actively participated in
all his political campaigns since he joined politics in 2002, have cried
out over alleged neglect by the president.
Malam Musa Horror, who
spoke on behalf of the supporters, told Daily Trust in Kano yesterday
that, despite their contributions in the formation of Buhari-led
government, they have not been carried along almost three years after
Buhari assumed office.
He said, “We
participated in Buhari’s campaign since he joined politics in 2002 but
after he became president in 2015, nobody cares to remember us. We have
endured intimidations, harassment and attacks mated against us by members
of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during campaigns but now we have
been neglected.
“We have been
attacked and injured severally during campaigns. Over 300 of our members
were jailed at Karshi prison in Abuja for some days and some of us lost
their lives during campaigns all because of Buhari.
