A former McDonald’s Worker who was found guilty
of abusing a boy aged five has been found dead in prison just weeks after being
jailed.
Daniel Davey, 22, was found guilty of sexually
abusing a boy aged five, after the child told his mother he wanted to
tell her ‘something dirty.’ He was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison
on December 1, but was found dead in his cell at HMP Bullingdon, in
Oxfordshire, on January 12.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said Davey’s death would be investigated by the Prison Service Ombudsman. Davey abused his victim while living and working in Chippenham, and police found his DNA on the child’s underwear.

A former girlfriend had also seen an image on
Davey’s computer of a man sexually abusing a child, but he claimed he had been
sent it by someone as a joke. He had disposed of the computer before he was
arrested. He was found guilty and ordered to register as a sex offender and to
serve a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
