The
Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has announced the sacking of Prof. Richard
Akindele for allegedly demanding sex from a student, Monica Osagie, to upgrade
her mark.
The
OAU Vice-Chancellor, Eyitope Ogunbodede, announced the sacking at a
press conference in Ile-Ife on Wednesday.
He
said the Governing Council of the institution sacked the lecturer, “having
found him guilty of all the charges against him.”
Ogunbodede
said the lecturer did not deny the allegation when he was confronted.
