Lady allegedly stabs native doctor to death in Edo

A 44-year-old native doctor, simply identified as Owe, has been allegedly stabbed to death in Benin City.

The victim was said to have been stabbed in the chest by a lady during a domestic brawl in his residence, opposite Use Market Road Junction, Upper Siluko Road, Benin City last weekend.
The lady (names withheld) was said to be a friend of the victim’s second wife and a guest in that house. She is now helping the Police in their investigations.
The Public Relations Officer for Edo Police Command, DSP Stephen Onwochei, who confirmed the story, said the police had commenced full scale investigation into the case.
Onwochei disclosed that the attacker turned herself in to the police after the dastardly act.
The shrine of the deceased native doctor suffered desertion when Vanguard visited last weekend.
It was gathered that trouble started on the faithful Friday when the deceased did not meet his second wife at home after he returned from his third wife’s residence where he spent the night.
She was said to have gone to Lagos Street for shopping.
Sources hinted that the intervention of other persons who were in the apartment as the violence raged could not placate his anger, but got extended to his sister in-law, instead.
Apparently provoked by the deceased, the lady allegedly ran to the kitchen, picked a knife with which she stabbed the native doctor, her friend’s husband, to death.
