The Archbishop of the
Enugu Ecclesiastic Province, His Grace Dr Emmanuel Chukwuma, has lambasted
President Muhammadu Buhari and First Lady Aisha Buhari over their recent media
war.
The
bishop described the recent media argument between the first couple as a
‘national disgrace’.
The First Lady had first raised
concerns that her husband’s government had been hijacked by a cabal.
However, the president in a swift reaction said she belong to the kitchen and the not the
political terrain.
Dr Chuwkwuma, who is
also the Bishop of Enugu Anglican Communion, believes that the argument between
the President and his wife showed that there was confusion in Aso Rock.
He
warned the two to understand that they were the foremost leaders of the country
and should find a more amicable way of settling their family issues instead of
disgracing themselves and the entire nation in the media.
Dr
Chukwuma while speaking with Daily Sun frowned at the recent raid of judges by
the Department of State Services (DSS) and the on-going recession.
He said, “from the look
of things, there’s confusion in Aso Rock. Buhari and his wife should understand
that they are they are the first family and thus mind their public utterances.
They should stop this national disgrace and learn how to settle their issue
privately.”
