The new Commissioner of Police Lagos state police
command, Edgal Imohimi on his first day on the job said 'no police officer should detain anybody without
express permission from the DPO and should be duly signed in order for the
officer in charge or DPO to be able to explain why then person is been
detained'.
According to
the new CP, measures are in place to stop all forms of corruption within
the police and with the public.
