The
Presidency has disowned a journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who claimed in his tweets
yesterday that only 15 out of the remaining 113 Chibok schoolgirls, believed to
be with their Boko Haram abductors, are alive.
The
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba
Shehu, said in a statement yesterday that Salkida’s information was unknown to
the federal government.
Shehu
said available facts indicated that all the remaining girls in the captivity of
the Boko Haram terrorists who abducted them were alive.
