Gov Dickson’s sister kidnapped

Armed men yester­day in broad day­light kidnapped the sister of the Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Dickson at Okaka Road within the state capital.

Sources said Nancy Dickson was kidnapped by four armed men who trailed her to her shop. The gunmen stormed the shop and whisked her away to an unknown destination along with her salesgirl.
The incident was said to have caused pandemonium as the kidnappers fired spo­radic shots to scare people away.
Police Public Relations Officer, Ansim Butswat who confirmed the incident said the police were on top of the situation.
“Yes we have a report that one woman called Nancy Teme Dickson was kidnapped by some armed men. Investigation is ongo­ing.
“On the 19th of Decem­ber, 2015, at about 1450hrs, four unknown gunmen in an ash-colour Lexus jeep, trailed one Nancy Keme Dickinson, 26 years, to her shop at Okaka road, Yena­goa, and abducted her and her sales girl to an unknown destination.
“The Command imme­diately embarked on stop and search/cordon opera­tions in a bid to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators. Efforts have been intensified to arrest the abductors. Investigation is ongoing,” the PPRO stated.
