Nwankwo Kanu has thumbed up legendary former Les Blues and
Gunners striker, Thierry Henry who has called an end to his illustrious
football career.
Kanu, fondly called
Papilo stated that Henry’s immense achievements contributed to his performance
in Arsenal. “It’s a thing of joy hearing the retirement of my great friend who
has shown me love and support. Henry is a man I have known from childhood and
most of my football tactics I learnt were from him”
Kanu also revealed that
his happiest moment with the former French international was when Arsenal won
the English Premier league in an unbeaten streak in 2003/2004 season. “He was
the first Arsenal player that sent a mobile text message to me a day before my
wedding and any time I’m on national duty he wishes me well.”
