An Ikeja Magistrates’
Court in Lagos on Tuesday slammed a N100,000 bail on a motorcyclist, Saheed
Olayinka, who snatched a bag containing N4,000 belonging to Mrs Taiwo Olasumbo.
The Magistrate, Mr A.A Adesanya granted the
accused bail after he pleaded not guilty to a two-count of conspiracy and
stealing.
Adesanya ordered that the accused, a resident
of Ipaja area of Lagos should produce two sureties as a condition for the bail.
He adjourned the case till January 16, 2017 for
mention.
According to the
prosecutor, Insp. George Nwosu the accused and one other person still at large
committed the offence on November 4 at Aina Obembe Street, Ipaja, Lagos.
Nwosu said that the accused and one other
person conspired to snatch the bag from Olasumbo.
