The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus on Saturday, said the the outcome of Ekiti
State governorship election would determine if there will be election in 2019
or not.
Secondus, who spoke to journalists, said his party was
expecting free and fair election and anything short of credible electoral
process would precipitate crisis in the country and threatened that 2019
general elections would not be held.
Speaking with reporters, the PDP National Chairman stated
that the governorship election in Ekiti was a test case for what to expect
ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
"My mission in Ilorin is to pay condolence visit to my former National Chairman of PDP and by the grace of God, our friend and brother", Secondus said.
On the governorship election in Ekiti, the PDP boss declared: "We want election that would be free and fair. We believe anything short of that would cause crisis, and as you know, Ekiti election is the beginning of all elections that would come in 2019. If Ekiti election is not properly conducted, then there would be no election in 2019".
