Abdullahi
Adamu, a senator representing Nasarawa West senatorial district, and former
governor of Nasarawa State, has accused the senate president, Bukola Saraki, of
being behind the new faction of the ruling APC.
The reformed All Progressives Congress, rAPC,
was recently formed by some aggrieved members of the APC.
Mr Adamu said these persons have chosen to
remain in the dark and back the rAPC which he described as fake. He said it is
too risky for Mr saraki to leave the party because he would lose his seat.
Mr Adamu, during an interview with journalists
at the party secretariat on Thursday, said Mr Saraki and the others are free to
leave the party.
“I told you these are people who have got
felonies that they are hiding and want to use their positions in the party and
national assembly as a facade, as a veil to hide from the felonies they have
committed.
“The whole thing they are fighting is not so
much (of) service to Nigeria but service to their interest and I did tell you
that they are just staying in the APC to cause maximum possible damage.”
When the nPDP started issuing threats and
seeking to meet party leaders to discuss, Mr Abdullahi had said these persons
only want to cause damage in the party because their grievances are not
genuine.
He believes of all nPDP members, Mr Saraki
benefited the most, so their complaint of being marginalized is false.
