A Colorado man was left
with life-threatening injuries after a bizarre accident involving a cigarette
that ended with him running over his own head.
The
freak incident took place in Aurora, Colorado, at around 6.40am on Sunday.
The man was lighting a cigarette while
reversing his van out of a driveway according to KUSA News.
He
dropped it down the front of his jacket and jumped out the vehicle.
But
it continued to roll back, knocking the man over and a tyre on the driver’s
side crushed his head.
Police has released a
statement urging drivers to "eliminate distractions whenever possible -
eating, cell phones, reading, smoking, excessively loud music etc."
