Angelina Jolie Takes Legal Action Over ‘Heroin Video’

Angelina Jolie Takes Legal Action Against The Daily Mail Over ‘Heroin Video’

The Times of London is reporting that Angelina Jolie has launched legal action on the grounds that the footage is a gross violation of her privacy.
The Daily Mail reported the footage, which came through the US tabloid the National Enquirer, showed the young actress in conversation with her father Jon Voight about her brother and late mother Marcheline Bertrand.
The footage was allegedly supplied by former drug dealer Franklin Meyer who also claims he supplied Jolie with cocaine and heroin three times a week.
While the video appears to have been taken down from the Mail site, insiders told the New York Daily News the images of the strung-out Jolie were nothing new.
“They’re just revisiting old news that they think people have forgotten about and slapping a big ‘exclusive’ on it,” the source is quoted as saying.
“The video was probably floating around back then, too. Thing is, nobody cared about the video back then.”
Today Jolie is a UN Ambassador and dedicated mother, but she was never coy about drug use in her youth, telling the Mirror in 1996: “I have done just about every drug possible: cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and my favourite, heroin.”
