Food Scarcity May Hit Nigeria, Expert Warns

The Vice Chairman (Southwest Zone) of the Agriculture and Allied Employees’ Union of Nigeria, Com. Blessing Oladele , has charged the Federal Government to heed the warning given by Nigeria Meterological Agency that Nigeria may experience food scarcity due to  low rainfall in 2015 .

Oladele, an agriculture expert and native of Araromi Oke in Ekiti East Local Government, was appointed into the exalted position  on July 29, 2015, to coordinate the union in Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Osun and Ekiti States.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti  Wednesday, Oladele added that  it will be catastrophic for Nigerians to be hit by famine considering the hard-biting economic situation being experienced by the poor masses.
He said his appointment  into such a strategic position would help the government  of Governor Ayodele Fayose in developing the Agriculture sector and promote the stomach infrastructure policy of  his administration.
