A man, Ifeanyi Okpoko has reportedly dragged his former wife, Blessing Okpoko to seven shrines, including the dreaded Okija shrine in Anambra State, over property dispute.
It was learned that the 13-year old marriage became strained and
the wife claimed ownership of their landed property.
Vanguard gathered that Ifeanyi took her to seven different
shrines including Okija shrine in Ihiala, since Blessing claimed that he did
not contribute anything to the acquisition of their property that is now the
subject of litigation.
He was quoted as saying he went to consult the oracles to decide
and punish either of them and their supporters making false claims over the
property quickly.
He alleged that Blessing was using her position as a senior bank
staff to make some people believe that she owned their joint property, adding
that was why he consulted the oracles so that the truth would be established.
It was gathered that Blessing reported the latest development to
the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Fatai Owoseni, who summoned both of
them to a meeting over the matter.
While trying to resolve the issue, CP Owoseni reportedly lambasted
them for their conduct and wondered whether they had relatives and elders in
their communities who could not resolve the issue amicably.
