After 3 days, police recover body of doctor who jumped into lagoon

The man's car was pulled over by his driver before he jumped into the lagoon
The body of Allwell Orji, the medical doctor who jumped into the lagoon from the Adekunle end of the third mainland bridge has been recovered.
Orji ended his life around 4:50pm on Sunday.

Adesina Tiamiyu, general manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said the body was found around 4pm on Wednesday.
He said family members of the deceased and his driver, who was the last known person to see him alive, have confirmed that the body found was that of Orji.
“The body of Dr. Orji was recovered at about 4pm today 22nd March, 2017 by the Marine Police,: the agency said in a statement.
“The body was identified by some of his family members, including the driver, in the presence of the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Mr Fatai Owoseni.
“The body will be handed over to the family while investigation continues.”
There was controversy about the corpse on Tuesday. The police had recovered a body, which they felt was his, but the victim’s mother later said it was not that of her son.
Until his death Orji, a graduate of the University of Lagos, worked at a branch of Mount Sinai Hospital in Lagos.
