The
Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two teachers of a primary school in
the Dutsen Tanshi area of Bauchi, the state capital, for allegedly defiling a
six-year-old pupil.
The
state Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar, stated this on Thursday while giving
a report of the command’s efforts at reducing crime in the state.
He
said the suspects, Sani Abubakar, 39; and Usman Hassan, 33, were arrested on
March 8, 2017, at about 9am for the alleged crime.
Umar
said, “The suspects lured the six-year-old girl and defiled her at a primary
school in Dutsen Tanshi. Unfortunately, the two suspects are the victim’s
teachers in the same school.”
