lecturer with Kogi State University, KSU, Anyigba, Associate Professor Justice
Olurotimi Otitolaye, has been reported killed by cult members in the
institution.
Vanguard gathered that Professor
Otitolaye, who had been championing war against examination malpractice in the
institution, was abducted around Stadium Road, near the campus on Friday night,
on his way to a supermarket.
His bullet-riddled body was found in the
early of hours of Sunday at Ejule, which is about 8 kilometres away from the
school.
The cultists were said to have fired
sporadic shots into the air to scare away people living around the area before
taking the lecturer to an unknown destination.
The body of the lecturer has been
deposited at the university teaching hospital.
Some lecturers and students expressed
shock over the incident, and decried the incessant killings in the institution…
