Super Eagles head coach,
Stephen Keshi, has declared that his future with the team does not depend on
the outcome of this weekend’s game against Congo.
Keshi who spoke after
yesterday’s workout in Abuja ahead of the team’s departure today for Pointe
Noire said he is not banking on getting a result in Congo to keep his job.
Hear him: “I totally
disagree with you that the outcome of the game against Congo has something to
do with my future as Eagles manager. I am not depending on the match to be
given a new contract and it is wrong to think that I will die without Nigeria’s
job. Yes, I want to work for Nigeria as my country but I am not so desperate
about it. It is wrong for anybody to think that I cannot exist without Super
Eagles job. Don’t forget that I came from somewhere.”
Keshi who spoke on the
absence of Victor Moses said he decided not to call up the England based player
because he is not fully fit: “We decided not to invite Victor Moses because he
is not fully fit".
