In what has become a
tradition, Nigeria’s qualification for the 2015 Nations Cup is not
just dependent on her, but on all the other teams in her
group.
Nigeria will need a
favour from Sudan who must not let in as many goals as five so that Nigeria
qualifies with a win over South Africa.
South Africa have already
secured a place in the African Cup of Nations next year as they are at the top
of the group with 11 points from five games.
Nigeria and Congo are on
seven points each with both teams having a chance of qualifying on the last day
of the qualifiers, while Sudan with three points have lost out completely.
Congo must avoid defeat at
all costs in Khartoum against Sudan and hope that South Africa do the
unthinkable by beating Nigeria in Uyo.
Congo needs to claim at
least a point, if not a win, to stand any chance of qualification.
A draw or a loss for
Nigeria and a win for Congo will see the Red Devils qualify. If both Congo and
Nigeria draw, then the Super Eagles will qualify.
Congo will be hoping
to repeat their 2-0 victory over Sudan
Sudan have scored only
three goals in five games, while conceding ten goals.
Congo have scored five
goals, while conceding six.
