Man stabs friend to death over cup of tea - Police

The Taraba State police command has paraded a middle aged man, Mustapha John for stabbing Danjuma Somaila to death, over a cup of tea and bread worth a hundred and thirty naira only.

The police, also paraded 40-year-old Alhaji Sagir Mohammed for criminal impersonation of the state acting Governor, Alhaji Sani Abubarka Danladi.
According to the state Police Commissioner, Nyats N. Jatau, Sagir was arrested while trying to dupe one Ezekiel Thomas, the General Manager of Community Social Development Programmes (CSDP), Jalingo, Taraba state.
The commissioner, who resumed duties in the state just recently, pleaded with the public to volunteer relevant information to the police to enable them to fight crime in the state, especially as the general election draws closer.
