A 35-year-old Nigerian
woman has been gang raped in New Delhi, police said Friday.
Four
suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The
woman was found in an unconscious state in Mayur Vihar area in east Delhi at
about 2.43am on Friday.
Police
said when the victim was found, she was under the influence of alcohol.
She
had apparently been raped in a moving car.
The
police said they received a call from a passerby who spotted her.
“She
told us that she had boarded the accused persons’ car in which she was gang
raped in south Delhi’s Saket area,” an official said.
Police
added that the woman did not know the accused and had jumped out of the car in
Mayur Vihar area.
“We
have arrested all the four accused, who are residents of Mayur Vihar area,”
police said.
