Woman faces life in jail after admitting killing six of her babies

 
A woman is facing jail after pleading guilty to killing six of her newborns and stashing their bodies in the garage.

Megan Huntsman, 39, made headlines following her arrest in April 2014, when the now-confirmed baby-killer’s arrest ‘came as a shock’ to neighbours who called the Utah woman a ‘good babysitter’.

And Huntsman, whose voice cracked as she pleaded guilty six times for each of her crimes, now faces life in prison when she’s sentenced on 20 April.

The corpses of the babies were found by Huntsman’s estranged husband, Darren West, when he came to the home to gather belongings last year.

He found one infant’s body in a cardboard box and called police, after which they found six others, one of which was stillborn, the others murdered.

Police said that Huntsman told them at the time that she was addicted to methamphetamine and ‘didn’t want to care’ for the babies.

Mr West was the father of each child and was living with Huntsman during the decade they were killed.

Police said they are not investigating him in connection with the deaths.
