A teenage boy has been
charged with murdering his pregnant mother, it has been reported. The decomposing body of
Nita Moseley was discovered at her home 10 days ago.
A manhunt was launched
for her 14-year-old son, who allegedly fled in his mother's stolen car,
according to local reports.
The boy was yesterday
arrested and charged with first-degree murder, KPRC-TV reported.
Ms Moseley was found
lying on the kitchen floor of her home in La Marque, Texas, on September 19 by
a neighbour, the Daily News reported.
He reportedly told
police he hadn't seen the 33-year-old for five days and went to check if she
was ok.
He told KPRC-TV:
"I thought maybe someone had broken in the house or something and that's
when I found the unfortunate event that happened.
"She was four
months pregnant. She was pretty happy-go-lucky. Didn't have a lot of drama in
her life."
Ms Moseley's cause of
death has not been released.
Police told the Houston
Chronicle that they boy has been "cooperative in the investigation"
and he's believed to have acted alone.
