Cristiano Ronaldo has dealt Manchester United a blow by revealing he would like to play in Brazil when his Real Madrid career finally comes to an end.
The
Red Devils have been linked with bringing the World Player of the Year back to
Old Trafford in recent months.
But
speaking this week, Ronaldo says he would like the opportunity to play in
Brazil before he hangs up his boots.
‘Corinthians
and Flamengo are two famous club, I would gladly dress in one of their shirts,’
he said.
‘In
Brazil I have many friends, so my relationship with the country is very good.
At Real I have passed many Brazilians, with Kaka one of the people I respect
most of all.’
The
29-year-old last week claimed the Ballon d’Or ahead of Lionel Messi and
goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
