The senatorial ambition of a former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, has crashed, following her inability make the list of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidates.
The list was released
on Tuesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Ms. Oduah, after
failing to capture the Anambra North Senatorial seat, had allegedly contacted
powerful government officials to use their influence to force INEC to get her
name into the list.
INEC, however, released
the name of John Okechuckwu Emeka as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) for the seat.
Similarly, Andy Uba, a
former domestic aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo did not make the PDP list.
His younger brother,
Chris Uba is the PDP candidate for Anambra South in the forthcoming general
election.
