Father of the four-year-old boy, who was
hacked to death last Monday at Ijanikin area of Lagos said yesterday that his
son’s killer, Tajudeen Azeez, was paid N100.
Meanwhile, late Ibrahim Hassan was said to
have declared several times that he would become the country’s president some
day.
Vanguard learned that some leaders in the
community had been lobbying the Divisional Police Officer of the station to
release the suspect and nine others arrested in connection with the crime.
The bereaved father, Mr. Jamiu Hassan,
disclosed that Kazeem’s first payment of N100 by the yet-to-be identified
mastermind, was to provide the kidney, intestines and manhood of a child.
He said: “They have killed my president
because he used to tell me that one day he would become Nigeria’s President.
“I was told by my elder son, Al-Amen that they
were playing outside the house when the suspect came and lured him with sweets
before he was later killed.”
“I want the Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi
Ambode, and Commissioner of Police to come to my aid because I do not want the
case of my son to be swept under the carpet like other unresolved murder cases
in the country.”
Felicia Hassan, mother of deceased, told
Vanguard that when she was going to the hospital to deliver her fourth child,
she never knew something terrible would happen to her son.
The grandfather of the deceased, Alhaji Taiwo
Hassan, said he went to the police station where the suspects were detained,
only to learn that they had been bailed by some chiefs in the area.
He said: “I came from Abeokuta. When I got to
the station, I was told that some chiefs in the community were coming to bail
some of the suspects mentioned by Azeez.”
