A three-year-old girl has died after being shot by another young child who was playing with a gun. Little Dalis Cox is believed to have been shot twice by a seven-year-old boy in what police have described as an accident.
The incident happened
on Wednesday evening at an apartment block in Washington DC. Officers were called to
the complex in the 600 block of 46th Place SE near Benning Road at 8.18pm, the
Washington Post reported.
Dalis was found
unresponsive with gunshot wounds inside the building.
She was taken to
hospital but later died from her injuries.
Authorities said early
investigations showed the child was shot by a seven-year-old boy who was
playing with a gun he found in the apartment...
