Former
Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, a retired colonel, remains
in virtual house arrest in Abuja today as operatives of the the Directorate of
State Security kept the siege on his house.
For one, he was unable to leave the house to observe the
Eid-el-Fitri prayers.
He has also been unable to receive visitors, as the SSS has kept
all visitors at bay.
Reports said apart from holing up Dasuki in his home, the
operatives have also driven away all the vehicles in his residence in Asokoro,
Abuja.
Information reaching us said the operatives were combing Dasuki’s
house. Sources said they were looking the defence money believed to have been
stolen under Dasuki’s watch as NSA.
It is not clear yet whether the DSS men would take Dasuki away
after the search of his home.
